Under the guidance and support of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Importers and Exporters Association of Taipei (IEAT), the Central, Eastern Europe and CIS Association (CEECA) held its first General Assembly on July 30, 2002, at the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC).

CEECA is composed of highly regarded entities, including many reputable associations, banks, and businesses that have received recognition for their excellent trade performance. It links up with TAITRA to form the largest and most comprehensive trade database in Taiwan, thus allowing businesspeople to enjoy the most effective and reliable assistance and services.

 

CEECA strives to fulfill the following objectives:

1. To assist members in exploring possible business opportunities in the Central, Eastern Europe and CIS countries,
2. organize trade and investment missions,
3. collect and disseminate trade information,
4. strengthen relations among members, clients and associations,
5. keep in close contact with Taiwan representatives based in these countries and work closely with the representative offices located in Taiwan,
6. promote personnel exchanges and foreign relations between Taiwan and the Central, Eastern Europe and CIS regions, and
7. hold trade related activities that are beneficial to both sides.

 

The core functions of CEECA include developing mutual relations, organizing delegations, and holding seminars on regional market developments and events relating to EBRD. A Memorandum of Understanding between CEECA and the Economic Chamber of Czech Republic was signed in May 2007. We welcome enterprises and establishments to join this association and explore the Central, Eastern Europe and CIS markets together.
